HP7 awaits
I finished reading HP6 with tears.
I knew Dumbledore would die but I didn’t know he would die in such a tragic way as written in the book. Also, I was really disappointed to realize Snape, despite how evil and dismal he has appeared to be however trusted without second doubt by Dumbledore really turned out to be on the evil side. Call me crazy but I still have little hope that he’d somehow reveal his true loyal identity to Dumbledore and that he killed Dumbledore for good….
At the beginning of the book, there were places that sounded like J.K.Rowling was writing it for the sake of writing, it didn’t seem as natural as the first few books. The conversation between Harry and Ginny at the end reminded me of Spiderman and Mary Jane and any other superheros with their lovers.
And I must say this: I do not like Harry. He seems really nosy at times like how he’s always trying to spy on Malfoy - although Rowling knew Malfoy was up to something but how does Harry know? It’s bit unnatural for the author or as I said, Harry’s just too nosy. And it’s also a fact that he constant asks help from Hermione for homework and such while he can’t even make a perfect potion without the help of the Prince; there really isn’t much he can do that’s developed through his incessant and diligent hard-work, it’s either he’s born with it or not.
Yes, HP7 is going to be great. But I doubt if it’s going to be thicker than HP6 since seemingly Hogwarts is most likely going to be closed down. And truthfully, it’s not gonna shake me much whether Harry die or not.
When I saw HP4 movie trailer before Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, I was sooo excited! Can’t wait!

On the same exciting note, one of my best friends in China, Effie, is planning to come to Toronto to study. I really can’t wait to see her here. I haven’t seen her for about 3 years now - and the last time I saw was only for a few minutes…

I have only half-finished HP6 (my brother has taken it for too long), but already know what happens in the end.
I find it kind of immature and childish that characters such as Malfoy and Snape, who could be good but misunderstood end up really being bad. In an alternate reality, (for example), Snape could be this misunderstood person who was abused as a child and trying to help himself in the world; this would be far more mature than simply accepting him as one of the evil death eaters.
Anyway, I am enjoying the story so far.

I don’t know. But I have a feeling that Snape IS on Dumbledore’s side after all - and there’re certains facts that could support this speculation. ie. when Dumbledore had a wand pointed at him he said to Snape “please….” etc, he was telling Snape to kill him. He wasn’t begging for mercy, Dumbledore never begs.
We never know. That’s why HP7 will be good.

i finished harry potter today … it was indeed sad but i felt like slapping some of the characters in the last chapter when they were talkign about Fleur and Bills wedding when Dumbledore died just few minutes ago…. I felt for soem reason that only Harry, Ron and Hermione felt for Dumbledore and the other characters were there for nothing…..anyways quite a tragic book but enjoyed it i guess..

hm..if you google boa kwon..she’s this korean singer..google boa kwon..cause there were talks about people wanting her to play cho chang and how she looks better than katie and stuff. haha. i dunno. i know that is katie leung lol perhaps that pic on your site IS her..and she just looks a bit diff =) i can’t wait til the movie comes out..hopefully it’s good!

boa is hot =P and katie leung is young. the trailer for HP4 movie makes me think itll be really really good.
the main theory right now on the net is that dumbledore had to die for harry to realise his true potential, something i agree with. and im fairly certain snape had his own reasons, dumbledore may have wanted it to happen. the actual incident just seemed so abrupt, it was a tad convoluted, too obvious for its own good. snape will be back as a good person. whether or not harry realises or accepts the situation that snape is in will be a totally different story though.
and yes, it doesnt look like katie leung. oh well. we all know who harry ends up with anyways =P

Oh, and the picture is BoA. Too bad, you guys. Yes, she may be prettier, but JK Rowling wanted an unknown person to play Cho, and plus, BoA’s English isn’t too good - I highly doubt she’d even be able to talk in full and fluent English, much less pull a convincing European accent.

i honestly think rowling will surprise all of us in hp7. i do not think snape is as bad as he is written out to be. remember he was under the unbreakable vow.i think dumbledore knew all along that snape would kill him and was pleading to have snape finish him off faster so as to break harrys immobile state to go after what he could. i think also that snape can convince draco and his mother into joining the other side with him. i think snape will come out victorious in the end, call me crazy but it is my own revelation
